Course Requirements
The Shearzone Safaris Safari Chef Training Course is open to all approved kitchen staff, including head chefs, camp chefs, commis chefs, and kitchen assistants (limited access). Participants must have basic kitchen experience and approval from management or the head chef.
Chefs must have access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet connectivity to view training materials, complete quizzes, and upload practical evidence. Training is designed to work in remote safari environments, with offline resources where necessary.
Participants are required to complete all mandatory modules, follow Shearzone Safaris’ standard recipes and procedures, and pass both theory quizzes and practical assessments. Practical assessments involve preparing signature dishes according to approved standards and submitting photo or video evidence.
Certification is required to work independently in the kitchen and must be maintained through regular refresher training. Failure to meet course or refresher requirements may result in retraining or restricted kitchen duties.
This ensures consistent food quality, safety, and brand standards across all Shearzone Safaris kitchens.
